A little bit about me
I’m a freelance London Photographer based in Dulwich with my wife Annie, a very clever Graphic Designer and Director of Raspberryripple Ltd, with our two sons and a couple of cheeky cats.
Originally born in NW London (from Italian and Guyanese stock), I studied photography (City & Guilds) at the London School of Film and Photography (London University). However, I’m mostly self taught and continue discovering new and exciting things about photography all the time.
My varied past until now since leaving Harrow Weald Grammar School at the tender age of 16 includes an Apprenticeship with Hoover Ltd as a Design Engineer, a couple of years in the music industry with Virgin Records, several years as a London Club DJ, two decades in the Advertising world with McCann-Erickson and finally a stint in the food and bev industry with a London bar called Spirit. I’m very fortunate that my work experience has allowed me to travel to over 50 countries and 5 continents during which I was based for several years in Moscow and then Johannesburg before returning to London. But here at home is where I’m happiest surrounded by family and friends and doing what I’m passionate about.
I specialise in Weddings, Portraits and Events but everyday I try to perfect my craft and develop my individual style. I work hard and conscientiously with all of my clients (no matter how big or small the commission) and I’m continually encouraged by the glowing testimonials and reviews I receive and as a bonus, the friends I make along the way.
I remember what it was like in the beginning so I welcome sharing and working with people new to photography and if possible I’ll always try and make time to impart some advice over a coffee and where possible offer some work experience (not always paid).
If we haven’t worked with each before, then I look forward to the opportunity. Thanks for reading.
Lorenzo
