Civil Partnership Photography – Stapleford Park (Part 2)

A Civil Partnership Photographer -

Day two of Amanda & Susie’s civil partnership weekend, the sun was shining, the flower arrangements were in place and hangovers were being eased with a full English breakfast on the patio of The Stapleford Park Country House.

Upstairs the Brides and Bridesmaids were having make-up by Lina Cameron and Jen Pike whilst their guests were busy participating in Archery, Falconry, Tennis, Swimming, Boules, Clay Pigeon shooting, being pampered in the Spa or a leisurely game of outdoor Chess. If that was too energetic then, seeing as it was the Wimbledon Ladies Finals, a viewing room had been themed with a Wimbledon Astro lawn, an Umpires chair, endless supplies of Pimms and English Strawberries and Cream and a veteran Wimbledon competitor. Every last detail had been meticulously planned!

The civil partnership was performed in The Orangery where Green Ant Events had created an elegant and minimalistic theme to match the days colour scheme and once Amanda and Susie had slipped into their couture Bruce Oldfield dresses and Jimmy Choo’s, Amanda’s brother was ready to walk her down the aisle and give her away to Susie during a very emotional ceremony full of warmth.

High tea followed on the lawn and patio with the sun still blazing, but luckily ice cold Champagne flowed and ice cream was close at hand along with delicious canapes. Next, the guests were called to the Grand Hall for the wedding breakfast accompanied by Concert Harpist Keziah Thomas. After some entertaining speeches, a hilarious slideshow and the cutting of the cake it was time to dance to The Motowners, and then disco down into the early hours under a stunning light show, once again orchestrated by Green Ant Events (I finished at 2.30 am and the party was still going strong!).

Definitely the Civil Partnership of the year!

Civil Partnership Photography – Stapleford Park (Part 1)

A considerable benefit of my work is being able to meet some fascinating and insightful people and then photographing their special moments in a stunning location. When I first met Amanda & Susie at their beautiful home to discuss the photography of their civil partnership weekend, I knew they were going to be really wonderful to work with.

With the expert help of Green Ant Events, Amanda & Susie created an amazing weekend of non-stop entertainment to celebrate their Civil Partnership. The venue for this very special weekend was The Stapleford Park Country House Hotel near Melton Mowbray, a perfect English Country Sporting Estate set in 500 acres of grounds landscaped by Capability Brown (currently owned by the Sultan of Brunei). With Ian Towers playing Grand Piano in the background, the party began with cocktails in the Saloon followed by an intimate dinner with their closest family and friends in the Harborough Room and to close the evening, more friends joined them in the Drawing Room for several nightcaps in preparation for what promised to be the civil partnership of the year!

I should just mention, that without exception, the staff at Stapleford Park from Head Chef to the Bar Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with special thanks to the professionalism of the Banqueting Manager, Zsofia Nagy who all ensured that Amanda and Susie’s civil partnership weekend was a hugely memorable occasion.
