A Civil Partnership Photographer -
Day two of Amanda & Susie’s civil partnership weekend, the sun was shining, the flower arrangements were in place and hangovers were being eased with a full English breakfast on the patio of The Stapleford Park Country House.
Upstairs the Brides and Bridesmaids were having make-up by Lina Cameron and Jen Pike whilst their guests were busy participating in Archery, Falconry, Tennis, Swimming, Boules, Clay Pigeon shooting, being pampered in the Spa or a leisurely game of outdoor Chess. If that was too energetic then, seeing as it was the Wimbledon Ladies Finals, a viewing room had been themed with a Wimbledon Astro lawn, an Umpires chair, endless supplies of Pimms and English Strawberries and Cream and a veteran Wimbledon competitor. Every last detail had been meticulously planned!
The civil partnership was performed in The Orangery where Green Ant Events had created an elegant and minimalistic theme to match the days colour scheme and once Amanda and Susie had slipped into their couture Bruce Oldfield dresses and Jimmy Choo’s, Amanda’s brother was ready to walk her down the aisle and give her away to Susie during a very emotional ceremony full of warmth.
High tea followed on the lawn and patio with the sun still blazing, but luckily ice cold Champagne flowed and ice cream was close at hand along with delicious canapes. Next, the guests were called to the Grand Hall for the wedding breakfast accompanied by Concert Harpist Keziah Thomas. After some entertaining speeches, a hilarious slideshow and the cutting of the cake it was time to dance to The Motowners, and then disco down into the early hours under a stunning light show, once again orchestrated by Green Ant Events (I finished at 2.30 am and the party was still going strong!).
Definitely the Civil Partnership of the year!
